PRN (AS NEEDED), Salt Lake City

We are looking for an individual to work PRN (as needed) for DAY shifts at our SALT LAKE CITY campuses. The Recovery Assistant position is perfect options for a 2nd job, for those at school, and for those looking for anywhere from a little extra money to a fulltime job! We currently have shifts available Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on an as-needed basis.

Primary Responsbilities

- Provide coverage in 24-hour facility during on-duty times, including the responsibility to contact on-call clinical staff in the event of unusual incidents or crises. The PRN Day shift works in one of the recovery homes when clients are sick and unable to attend treatment.
- Orient new clients to schedule and house policies and procedures.
- Monitor client compliance with curfew, house duties, and program rule requirements.
- Conduct bed checks randomly between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- Conduct room searches when directed or if an immediate situation demands, such as when a client is suspected of being in possession of contraband.
- Conduct urine analyses and/or breathe analysis, as directed.
- May be responsible for transporting women individually or in small groups to various appointments and help get their needs met at various community programs in the community, if needed.

- Be available for at least two shifts per week.
- Be able to attend a mandatory staff meeting and training the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. (sorry, no exceptions).
- Have basic computer skills and writing ability.
- Have good communication and phone skills.
- Have above-average problem-solving skills, conflict-resolution abilities, and above all, a sense of humor!

Agency Requirements for All Employees
- Non-smoking worksite: no tobacco products allowed.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass extensive post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug test.
- If in recovery, must have at least 2+ years of continuous sobriety.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and climb stairs.
- Must have own reliable transportation, current driver’s license, clean driving record and willing to transport clients in own car and agency vehicles on occasion.
- Must be able to adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality.
Must have a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges.
Education Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Education and experience in a field or setting related to social work or human services is preferred, but not required.
Hours & Schedule
Currently seeking individuals for Tuesday and Friday day PRN shifts, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (7 hours) as needed: this PRN shift is as-needed in our recovery houses when clients are sick and unable to attend treatment.
Wages & Benefits
$15/hour for swing shifts ($1/hour additional for overnight shifts), with potential $1/hour raise after completing all onboarding and training requirements. Part-time benefits package includes:
