Client Services Specialist – PT (Mornings)

INTRODUCTION:

House of Hope (HOH) is in search of a reliable person who is interested in assisting women in recovery at House of Hope. This part-time (afternoons from 12:30pm-6:00pm) Client Services Specialist works with women new in recovery. They get to know strong, resilient mothers as they improve their lives for themselves and their children. The purpose of this role is to help meet client needs as they work towards their goals. This person will also be responsible for running the Client Services office. This is a great opportunity for those seeking experience working with women and families as well as those interested in the human services sector of the non-profit community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with our recovery clients
  • Assist clients to make business phone calls and coordinate appointments
  • Answer incoming calls and interact with community partners
  • Keep records, filing electronic and hard copies in a timely manner
  • Assist clients to log on to virtual appointments
  • Assist with conducting client drug screenings
  • Complete special projects for the program
  • Possess a teamwork mentality, while also being able to work independently

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSET:

  • An ability to be respectfully assertive

  • Open to feedback with mindset toward self-improvement
  • Possess a strong understanding of professional ethics and boundaries
  • Willingness to drive own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement) or agency vans (up to 10 passengers) and maintain Utah driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
  • Able to climb stairs and lift 40-50 pounds, on occasion
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Apple iPad is a plus
  • Quick and accurate typing skills with attention to spelling and grammar

AGENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES:

  • Non-smoking worksite: no tobacco products allowed
  • Be 21+
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a drug screening
  • If in recovery, must have at least 2+ years of continuous sobriety
  • Good driving record for last 4 years required as well as a valid driver’s license and personal, reliable transportation

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency

HOURS/SCHEDULE:

  • Part-time; approximately 28 hours/week
  • M-F, 8:00am – 2:00pm
  • Additional hours may be available to help cover time-off requests
