These are the top responsibilities of the Eligibility Specialist at House of Hope:
-Responsible for helping women in recovery obtain and sustain Medicaid eligibility and resources in order to obtain for mental health or substance use disorders treatment;
-Provide case management for clients who need assistance obtaining verifications, birth certificates, social security cards, or other needed documentation;
-Collaborate with the Department of Workforce Services to assist clients in accessing programs to meet their needs for financial assistance, health insurance or other resources;
-Communicate with ORS agents on any non-compliance issues affecting a client’s medical or financial assistance eligibility and work with clients to resolve issues in a timely manner so that benefits are protected;
-Ensure that client authorizations are collected from clinicians and submitted in compliance with agency protocols.
-Track on-going reauthorizations for funding in compliance with payer regulations and meet deadlines specified by each billing code;
-Maintain spreadsheets for reporting and complete data entry in the clinical management and billing system;
-Participate in strategic planning and utilization review for funding sources and contract management;
-Assisting with various other duties and special projects on an as-needed basis
We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications: -Excellent communication skills in working with diverse populations with various needs as well as multiple agencies and organizational departments;
-Proficient at verbal and written communication skills as well as professional telephone and email communication;
-Enjoys problem-solving, multi-tasking and can manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
-Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative in developing schedule and processes to accomplish own goals;
-Efficient in accomplishing daily tasks without supervision and sustaining consistent processes to meet objectives and deadlines with accuracy even under pressure;
-Resolves conflicts with clients, agencies, and co-workers with direct, professional and calm manner;
-Proficient computer skills, especially in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word in order to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets must be experienced and proficient with formulas, tables & formatting;
-Preference given to applicants who have worked with Medicaid clients, have experience in insurance authorizations, data management for healthcare or case management for workforce services or similar agency.
Salary Range: $17-19/hour; Full benefits package including health, dental and life insurance, 34 paid vacation, sick days and holidays, 401(k) dollar for dollar match up to 5% after one year with vesting schedule, annual increases, employee recognition, other bonuses and incentives are available.
Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm
Agency Requirements: -This is a non-smoking work site.
-Must be at least 21 years old.
-Must be able to pass extensive background check and drug test.
-If in recovery, must have at least 3 years of sobriety.
-Must have own reliable transportation and good driving record. House of Hope is a non-profit providing addiction recovery and behavioral health services to help women rebuild their lives and strengthen their families.
