Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of our facilities. This individual will have multi-trade experience and strong project management skills to ensure that all properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with management to prioritize and execute maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the highest standards of quality.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 8:30-5 pm, on site, no remote work
  • Part-Time: (Up to 28 hours per week); Tuesday-Friday, 1pm-5pm; Mandatory training 2nd Monday of each month from 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Compensation: $23-26/hour, $47K-54K annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of all properties to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all properties.
  • Oversee and collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and schedules.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and building codes.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for maintenance-related expenses.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment with House of Hope staff and clients.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-trade experience in maintenance or facilities management.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Capability to perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call as needed.
