Primary Responsibilities

- Receive visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.
- In a polite and timely manner, answer all incoming phone calls, responding to inquiries and forwarding phone calls to appropriate members of the HOH staff.
- Manage accounts receivable.
- Maintain files for various HOH departments, filing both hard copy and e-documents expediently.
- Conduct Medicaid verifications timely.
- Consolidate, record, release and balance HOH billing for Salt Lake County clients.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Accounting Specialist.
- Work with the HOH managers/directors at the various campuses to ensure information is received timely and efficiently.
- Perform data entry, as necessary and assist in maintaining HOH’s database(s).
Qualifications, Experience & Skillset
We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and caring employees who can both complete the following requirements and add to our culture of caring and understanding:
- At least two years of experience working in a professional environment and at least one year of experience working in accounts receivables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Willing to learn, able to take initiative, and problem solve.
- Excellent phone etiquette and a professional demeanor.
- Mathematical skills, knowledge of accounting standards and procedures, and computer skills.
- Understanding of HIPAA and county, state, and other Medicaid billing practices.
- Friendly, inviting, willing to listen, and enjoy working with people of varying backgrounds.
- Positive, professional, and courteous.
- Excellent time-management skills and be able to work successfully under limited supervision.
- Most importantly, has a passion for working on a collaborative team to help women and children in need.
Agency Requirements for All Employees
- Non-smoking worksite: no tobacco products allowed.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass extensive post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug test.
- If in recovery, must have at least 2+ years of continuous sobriety.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and climb stairs.
- Must have own reliable transportation, current driver’s license, good driving record, and be willing to transport clients in own car and agency vehicles occasionally.
- Must be able to adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality.
- Must have a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges.
Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Hours & Schedule
Part-time Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position is on-site in Salt Lake City on-site (no remote work).
Wages & Benefits
$18-$22/hour, depending on education and experience
