RECOVERY HOUSE MANAGER – FT (Afternoons)

House of Hope seeks a mature, reliable new staff member with excellent communication skills and the ability to set appropriate professional boundaries. The ideal staff member will have a passion for making a difference in the lives of families in our community. Preference will be given to individuals who have had experience working with mothers and children in a direct care setting and/or have experience working in a treatment program specializing in the area of recovery from substance use disorder(s). This is a great opportunity for those seeking further experience in the social services field.
This position supervises clients recovering from alcohol/substance abuse at one of our residential facilities. The House Manager ensures client safety and adherence to program policies. This position monitors the house/facility for proper functioning. Additionally, the successful candidate will complete reports in a timely manner, maintain order amongst clients and Recovery Assistant staff, run conflict resolution groups, and generally offer support and teach basic life skills to the female residents in treatment for substance use disorder as well as their children.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skillset:
- Due to agency licensing and supervision requirements, this position is open to female applicants only.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in field of communications, psychology, business, social work, etc. preferred but not required
- Must understand professional ethics and boundaries in the human service field
- Must be able to set and follow daily schedules
- Must be able to monitor the facility/house functions, calling upon the HOH Facilities Maintenance Manager, when issues arise with the house or grounds
- Must be able to speak in a group setting to run conflict resolution groups
- Must attend a mandatory staff meeting and training the 2nd Monday of each month (2-4pm) and last Friday (6-8pm) each month, as well as the occasional managers and one-on-one meeting(s)
- Possess basic computer skills, writing ability, and professional phone etiquette
- Possess an array of problem-solving skills and conflict-resolution abilities
- Must be able to communicate professional in writing and person to person
- Must complete detailed reporting in a timely manner
Agency Requirements for All Employees:
- Non-smoking work site
- 21+ years old
- Background check and drug test required
- If in recovery, have at least 2+ years of sobriety
- Personal, reliable transportation and Utah driver’s license/good driving record required
Education Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in field of communications, psychology, business, social work, etc. preferred but not required
Hours/Schedule:
- Fulltime(38) = 38 hours per week
- General Schedule: Monday-Friday from 3:30pm-10:30pm
- Additionally, House Managers are required to work at least one weekend shift per month, which is from 8:30am-3:30pm or 3:30pm 10:30pm Saturday or Sunday (will adjust weekly schedule when scheduled to work a weekend shift)
Wages/Benefits:
$16.00 per hour plus a Full-time(38) benefits package, including:
- Health Insurance: approximately 80% of employee premium paid
- Dental Insurance available at employee’s cost, if desired
- Vision Insurance available at employee’s cost, if desired
- 2x salary life insurance policy (no cost to employee)
- Short-term disability insurance (available at employee’s cost)
