10th East Kitchen Redo

November 8th, 2019

As of September 30th, our 10th East kitchen remodel has officially been completed—fully equipped with modernized cabinets, remodeled countertops, brand new appliances, and a finishing touch of subway tile backsplash. Years of wear and tear were demolished during our renovation, and in its place, a healing environment that honored 10th east’s decades of history was left. This kitchen has breathed new life into this home of hope, and offered us an all-refreshing glimpse into House of Hope’s bright future.

We would like to express our gratitude and thanks for the $20,000 American Express Center for Community Development charitable award, we received for the completion of our 10th East kitchen renovation project. With this donation, American Express has provided 16 of our residential treatment clients with the kitchen of their dreams. Here at House of Hope, we acknowledge the complexities of our clients’ lives and recovery journeys, and understand that women in treatment are not only deserving of healing, counseling, and sobriety, but also deserve to indulge in the unexpected joys that stainless steel appliances and granite countertops have to offer. Here’s to spaces of healing, and many more meals spent together in our brand new kitchen!
